New Masjid Construction Update …..

Assalamu A’lykum wa Rehmatullahi wa Barakatuhu,

ALHAMDULILLAH! The board of ISNS is thrilled to inform you of the following progress towards the New Masjid project. Since our last update on the eve of EID al ADHA in July, we have made significant progress and completed some major milestones as listed below that will bring us another step closer to achieving our ultimate goal of moving into our new Masjid, In Sha Allah

  • Contracts finalized with GCs:
    • Building (Anka Builders)
    • Site (Northwest Contractors) and
    • Construction Services (Owner Technical Rep) – Dome Structural.
  • We received CONSTRUCTION PERMITS for the BUILDING and the SITE today!
    • ISNS appealed to the city council to get maximum waiver of permit fees and got unanimous approval for the maximum waiver of $62K from the total permit fees of $131K
    • Pre Construction Meeting with city engineering staff completed today morning at the site
  • Please join us in the Ground breaking ceremony scheduled for Saturday Aug 27th 2022 11:45 am , In Sha Allah
    • All community members and city officials are invited/expected to attend

As you can see a lot has been accomplished in the past few months – all due to your sincere prayers and with the blessings of Allah-SWT. The board of ISNS humbly requests the community to continue to provide financial support and pray for our success and a smooth construction process without further delays or obstacles leading up to a successful completion of the New Masjid InShaAllah.

New Masjid Update on July 9, 2022

  1. Alhamdullilah, we got full plan approvals for both building and site plans as of yesterday Friday July 8.
  2. ISNS Board has finalized General Contractor (GC)
    Next steps:
    • With GCs/their subs, apply for a construction permit. Takes 2-3 weeks by End of July
    • b. Start Construction by mid-August In Sha Allah.
